Game Curation Policy
Last Updated: 30 October 2025
PlayGalaxy is a publisher and curator of web games. We do not develop the games ourselves. Instead, we work with licensed game distribution partners who provide the game files, artwork and basic descriptions. Our role is to carefully select which games are made available on PlayGalaxy and to present them in a safe and easy to use experience.
1. How Games Are Selected
Games appear on PlayGalaxy only after going through our curation flow:
- Trusted partners only: we integrate with professional game distribution platforms and studios that have confirmed they have the rights to distribute their titles.
- Technical & performance review: before a game is publicly listed we check that it loads correctly in an iframe, does not break the overall site, and runs to a reasonable performance level on common desktop browsers.
- Content & category check: we look at the theme, gameplay and audience and place the game into one or more categories (Action, Puzzle, Racing, Strategy, etc.) so that players can discover it more easily.
- Ongoing monitoring: if a game starts to perform poorly, receives repeated complaints, or becomes unavailable from our providers, it can be paused or removed from PlayGalaxy.
2. Content Rights & Ownership
PlayGalaxy does not claim ownership of the games listed on the site. All games, logos, artwork and in-game assets are the property of their respective creators and distribution partners.
- We embed games that are supplied through licensing or distribution agreements with third-party providers.
- We do not upload or share user-generated game files.
- If at any time a rightsholder asks us to update or remove a title, we honour that request as quickly as reasonably possible.
If you are a developer or publisher and believe your game appears on PlayGalaxy without proper rights, please contact us at privacy@playgalaxy.games so we can investigate and respond.
3. Age-Appropriate & Sensitive Content
PlayGalaxy is designed for a broad audience of players. Many games are suitable for teens and adults, and some may be appropriate for younger players with guidance from a parent or guardian.
- We do not intentionally curate real-money gambling, explicit sexual content or graphic real-world violence.
- Some games may contain mild cartoon violence or fantasy themes. Parents and guardians should always review individual games and decide what is appropriate for their children.
- When our partners provide age labels or content warnings, we use that information to help position and describe the game.
4. Game Descriptions, Instructions & Artwork
Because we are a publisher that works with game distribution platforms, parts of the text and artwork shown on a game page come directly from our partners.
- Descriptions & controls: we often use or adapt the official description and control instructions supplied by the game’s publisher so that players receive accurate information.
- Editorial additions: we may add our own short summaries, category introductions, tags and collections to help players discover similar games and understand what to expect.
- No manual walkthroughs: we generally do not write full walkthroughs or strategy guides; instead, we focus on clear, concise information about what the game is and how to start playing.
5. Player Feedback & Removals
We rely on our players to help keep the catalogue high quality. You can report a game for technical issues, inappropriate content or broken links by using any feedback option on the site or by emailing privacy@playgalaxy.games.
When we receive a report, we investigate the game and may:
- hide it from public listings while we test;
- remove it entirely from PlayGalaxy; or
- ask our distribution partner to provide an updated or fixed version.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Game Curation Policy if our partnerships or review processes change. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version. Significant changes may also be mentioned in our FAQ or other legal pages.
